School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) centers its disciplinary development on the first-level discipline of "Computer Science and Technology". It boasts a high-caliber faculty, with 100% of faculty members holding doctoral degrees, including 13 professors and doctoral supervisors.
Among them, there is one member of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, two recipients of the State Council Special Allowance, one recipient of the Cross-Century Outstanding Talent award by the Ministry of Education, one member of the National Education Steering Committee, one winner of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Science and Technology Progress First Prize, one winner of the China Communications Society Technology Invention First Prize, and three globally recognized top 2% scientists in the Stanford University and Elsevier databases.
SCAI strategically focuses on core domains such as computer software, big data, artificial intelligence, ubiquitous connectivity, and cybersecurity. Aligned with industrial demands like smart manufacturing, it prioritizes cutting-edge technologies in foundational industrial software, healthcare, digital economy, cyberspace security, and artificial super intelligence. To advance disciplinary development, SCAI explores innovative pathways through "Computing + X" and "Artificial Intelligence +", aiming to pioneer breakthroughs in AI fundamentals, underlying architectures, and future computing paradigms. Its vision is to establish a world-class hub for nurturing top AI talents, evolve into a global institution for computer science research and education, and produce research outcomes with significant academic and industrial impact, elevating its disciplines to world-leading standards.
In terms of student cultivation, SCAI adheres to the educational philosophy of "solid foundation and broad perspective", implementing a "3+2+3" or "4+4" training model that spans undergraduate to doctoral studies. This approach is designed to foster future leaders and industry pioneers in the field of computing and artificial intelligence.
