On January 4, 2026,the FYUST-FJWCH Joint Research Lab on Ultra-high Precision Mounting (hereinafter referred to as the "Ultra-high Precision Mounting Joint Research Lab") was officially unveiled at Wuhushan Building, Fuyao University of Science and Technology (FYUST). At the same time, the ultra-high precision mounting test production line was put into trial operation.、

Cho Tak Wong, Chairman of FYUST , Prof. Shuguo Wang, President of FYUST, and other university representatives, together with leaders of Fuzhou Municipal Government, and Prof. Weiming Shen and Mrs. Qun Xu, Co-Directors of the Joint Research Lab, jointly unveiled the laboratory.

The laboratory is developed as a strategic university-industry collaborative platform that deeply integrates industrial resources and university research capabilities on smart device manufacturing. Bringing together multiple disciplines, including materials science, precision manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing, microelectronics, and automotive engineering, the laboratory is dedicated to addressing key challenges in the smart display field through cross-disciplinary collaboration. It will systematically build a full-chain innovation system covering demand-driven research, technology development, engineering validation, and technology transfer, forming a sustainable mechanism for industry-education-research synergy.
Looking ahead, the Ultra-High Precision Mounting Joint Research Lab will target global technological frontiers, aspiring to become a world-class university-industry joint research lab integrating cutting-edge R&D, top-tier innovative talent cultivation, industry standard development, and technology transfer, thereby providing technical support for the upgrading of the smart display industry.

Fuyao University of Science and Technology, approved by the Ministry of Education in 2025, is a new-type of research university positioned as “high-caliber, compact and elite, research-driven, and globally oriented”.Leveraging its inherent close ties with industries and enterprises, the university actively aligns with technological frontiers and industrial upgrading needs, exploring new pathways for the deep integration of industry, education, and research.
