Recently, Fuyao University of Science and Technology (FYUST) and Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi) in Italy signed a cooperation agreement to collaborate in talent cultivation, scientific research, academic exchange, and resource sharing, with the shared goal of exploring new models for cultivating top innovative talent in the era of technological revolution.

According to the agreement, the two universities will jointly train students in Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering and related majors. Undergraduate students admitted to FYUST may choose to study at PoliMi in their fourth year. Upon completing four years of study and meeting the graduation requirements, students will be awarded a bachelor’s degree from FYUST. Those who meet PoliMi’s academic standards through mutual credit recognition and one year of study in Milan will also be awarded a bachelor’s degree from PoliMi.

Graduates who hold dual bachelor’s degrees from both universities will have the option to continue their studies in PoliMi’s master’s programs for two years. After completing their master’s degree, they may apply for doctoral scholarships to pursue a three-year Ph.D. program.

The partnership also places strong emphasis on exchange opportunities in China. FYUST will host PoliMi students at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels for study and research, thereby promoting two-way collaboration between the two institutions in talent cultivation and scientific research.

Through establishing comprehensive and multi-level partnerships with renowned overseas universities, FYUST is accelerating its internationalization strategy. The undergraduate curriculum at FYUST incorporates a one-year overseas study or exchange program. The signing of this agreement with PoliMi represents a significant step in broadening students’ global perspectives, enhancing the quality of talent cultivation, and expanding models of joint training with world-class universities to nurture top innovative talent.
