Established in December 2019, the Smart Automotive Glass Engineering Research Center of Fujian is affiliated with Fuyao Glass Industry Group Co., Ltd. (“Fuyao Group”) and Fuyao University of Science and Technology (FYUST). The center is located at the Fuyao Glass Engineering Research Institute, covering an area of approximately 15,200 square meters, with a total investment of over 130 million yuan in infrastructure. It is equipped with state-of-the-art R&D facilities, including the largest indoor antenna test anechoic chamber and the only outdoor open-area antenna test range among domestic automotive glass enterprises. It also features advanced magnetron sputtering glass coating pilot lines, thin-film characterization and testing centers, automotive glass functional coating application laboratories, and other engineering verification platforms. The center hosts more than a dozen dedicated performance testing and analysis laboratories, including: Optoelectronic Laboratory, Imaging and Display Laboratory, Mechanical Laboratory, Simulated Environment Laboratory, Physical and Chemical Laboratory, Sound Insulation Laboratory, Thermal Insulation Laboratory, Pedestrian Protection Laboratory, Organic Materials Laboratory, Inorganic Materials Laboratory, Vehicle-level coating environmental test chambers. In addition, the center houses a CNAS-accredited testing laboratory, whose test results are mutually recognized by more than 100 accreditation bodies in 67 countries and regions worldwide. Laboratories at 14 subsidiaries of Fuyao Group, including those in Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Tianjin, are also integrated into the CNAS accreditation system.
