Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Fuyao University of Science and Technology and Hisense Group Co., Ltd

On August 20, 2025, Fujian Fuyao University of Science and Technology (FYUST) and Hisense Group Co., Ltd. (Hisense) signed a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement in Fuzhou, Fujian, to further advance talent development, technology innovation, and industry collaboration.

Founded in 1969, Hisense is a Chinese multinational major appliance and electronics manufacturer headquartered in Qingdao, Shandong. Currently, Hisense has five listed companies, including Hisense Visual Technology, Hisense Home Appliances, Sanden Cooperation, Xiamen Changelight Co., Ltd., and Ke Electric Co., Ltd. The group also manages multiple world-famous brands, such as Hisense, Toshiba TV, Ronshen, Kelon, Gorenje, ASKO, etc.

Joint Top-Tier Talent Development Agreement

According to the Agreement, both parties will collaborate to explore the top-tier talent development strategies through various initiatives in innovation hubs, engineering education, entrepreneurship programs, and multi-level talent training programs.

· Qualified technical, engineering, or management professionals from Hisense will be appointed by FYUST to serve as industry professors, external mentors, or training instructors.

· FYUST will create and develop teaching and learning centers, joint talent development centers, internship and cooperative platforms, innovation & entrepreneurship hubs to jointly deliver industry-ready innovative talents for Hisense.

· Hisense will create “Hisense Scholarship and Teaching Award” and “Hisense Technology Innovation Award” for FYUST to recognize outstanding faculty, staff, and students for their excellent contributions and to support their continued growth.

· Both parties will jointly develop and implement a deep university-enterprise collaborative education strategy, including course module design, industry-ready skills training, internship program development, etc., to help students succeed in academics and career development, and to support Hisense’s strategic talent management.

University-Industry Joint Lab:

Future Factory and Embodied Intelligent Robotics Innovation Center

The Agreement also covers collaborative engineering research and technological development. As a key component of this strategic partnership, the “Future Factory and Embodied Intelligent Robotics Joint Innovation Center” has been officially announced.

The center will integrate engineering research, engineering education, and industry applications to accelerate the adoption of embodied intelligent technologies in manufacturing. It aims to set a benchmark for future factories and to become a globally leading hub for research and innovation in intelligent manufacturing and embodied robotics technologies.
