● What undergraduate programmes does FYUST offer to international applicants?

● How can I apply to FYUST undergraduate programmes?


1.Submit Online Application: Visit the International Student Admission website, access the Online Application System, complete application information and upload all required documents.

2.Document Review: The University will review all submitted materials and assess applicants’ eligibility.

3.Academic Assessment: Eligible applicants will undergo an academic assessment conducted by the University. The assessment includes a review of application materials and, where necessary, remote written examinations or interviews.

4.Official Admission: The admission decision will be made on the basis of the results of the eligibility review and academic assessment.

● What are the entry requirements for international undergraduate applicants?


General Requirements

1.Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid ordinary foreign passport, be at least 18 years of age (as of September 1, 2027), and be in good physical and mental health. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit a notarised guardianship document certified by the Chinese Embassy.


2.Applicants who fall under any of the following categories must meet the relevant nationality and residency requirements for international students:

·Applicants who were born abroad to at least one Chinese citizen parent who had settled overseas, and who acquired foreign nationality at birth;

·Applicants who emigrated from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan and subsequently acquired foreign nationality.


Such applicants must have held a valid foreign passport or proof of foreign nationality for at least four years and must have resided abroad for at least two years within the past four years (as of 30 April 2027); actual residence abroad for nine months or more within one calendar year counts as one year, based on entry and exit records.


Applicants who do not pass the nationality verification process will result in the automatic forfeiture of application eligibility, as well as any subsequently obtained admission or student status.


3.Applicants must hold a high school diploma or be currently enrolled in their final year of high school (with the expectation of obtaining a diploma by July 2027). Applicants should have strong academic performance in high school and a solid foundation in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology.


English Language Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

·IELTS Academic: 6.0 or above; or TOEFL iBT: 75 or above.

·English-as-medium-of-instruction Certificate from the high school where English is the primary language of instruction.

·Applicants from countries where English is the official language are exempt from this requirement.

·Other equivalent English language qualifications recognised by FYUST may also be accepted.


Standardised Tests (Optional but Recommended)

Applicants are encouraged to submit additional academic qualifications, including:

·China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) score report (Mathematics, Physics and/or Chemistry).

·SAT, ACT, AP, A-Level, IB or other recognised standardised test results.



● When is the application deadline for undergraduate programs?


Applications for autumn 2027 entry will be accepted in two rounds:

Round 1: Applications accepted from September to December 2026. Admission results released in January 2027.

Round 2: Applications accepted from January to April 2027. Admission results released in May 2027.



● How much are tuition costs and other fees for undergraduate programs?


Application Fee: RMB 400 per applicant (non-refundable).

Tuition: RMB 350,000 per academic year, charged on an annual basis, excluding costs for textbooks, practical training consumables, and off-campus practical activities.

Accommodation Fee: RMB 7,200 per person per year (twin room). The University provides twin-room accommodation for international students, equipped with private bathrooms, air conditioning, 24-hour hot water and wireless internet access. Students are responsible for their own accommodation utility (electricity and water) costs; the specific rates are subject to the latest notification issued by the University during the year of enrollment.

Medical Insurance: According to the regulations of the Chinese Ministry of Education, all international students are required to purchase medical insurance for an annual fee of RMB 800. Please refer to the enrolment instructions for detailed information of medical insurance.

Meals: Dining at the student canteen costs approximately 2,000 RMB per month on average.

Other Expenses: Approximately RMB 500 for the inbound physical examination, and approximately RMB 800 for residence permit application.



● Are there scholarships or other funding for international undergraduate students?


All applicants may apply for the Fuyao University of Science and Technology International Student Scholarship when submitting their application materials. Each year, the university selects outstanding students for scholarship awards based on comprehensive evaluations, with a maximum award amount of USD 50,000. Scholarship recipients are subject to an annual review of their academic performance and personal conduct; failure to meet the required standards will result in the forfeiture of the scholarship for the following year.



● Do I need to apply for a visa?


Applicants must apply for an X1 student visa at a Chinese embassy, consulate-general, or other visa-issuing authority abroad, by submitting the originals and photocopies of the Admission Offer Letter, Confirmation Form for Study in China (Form JW202), Foreigner Physical Examination Form, and a valid passport.
